Winchester G9412 Model 94 XTR Mississippi River Gambler Baton Rouge Edition 30-30 lever action rifle and Colt SAA Sheriff’s Model 44 caliber revolver Mississippi Gambler Baton Rouge Edition Set with both cylinders, locking presentation box, playing cards, dice, and original paperwork. Both guns are unfired and in like-new condition.
The Mississippi Gambler set was originally part of a 5 gun set where only 50 of each were produced as a commemorative of the riverboat gambling days. Cities commemorated were Memphis, St Louis, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Natchez. On the left side of each rifle there is a vintage scroll banner with the city name in gold inlay and a gold inlay river boat accented by scroll engraving. Right side of the rifle has a vintage scroll banner with the words “One of forty”, dice, and a gambling scene around a roulette wheel, all in gold inlay accented by scroll engraving. Specifications include 20 inch barrel, 13 in LOP, 1.75″ drop at comb, 2.5″ drop at heel, weight of 6.5 pounds, and a 1:12 rate of twist in the barrel. The gun is stocked in American Walnut with XTR checkering. Gun is accented in gold barrel bands as well as gold trigger and hammer. Made in New Haven, CT and pre-USRA Winchester. Still has original hang tags and all paperwork that was issued with the gun. One slight imperfection in the stock, shown in images. One of the rarest Winchester commemorative firearms every produced!
It’s rare to find both the Colt and Winchester from the same city in such incredible condition. Sold as a set.
